We are currently advertising for four 3 year-PhD studentships. Please apply at the online application form.

Structure of the PhD Studentship programme

Each student receives individual supervision and is guided in his/her 3-year research work by a thesis committee of at least three members (including the collaborating partners at the Heart Research Centre Göttingen and King’s College London). Besides carrying out their chosen research projects, the students receive strong training in cardiovascular biology and transferable skills.

Candidates must possess, or be expected to achieve, a 1st or good upper 2nd class degree in a relevant subject and must meet BHF residency requirements (EEA Nationals only) for the KCL-based projects.

To apply, please complete the online application form available under the Cardiovascular Research Division MPhil/PhD Programme and ensure that you also submit a detailed CV, an academic transcript, and two academic references. Queries can be addressed to pauline.newlands@kcl.ac.uk. Please ensure that you quote IGPCS on your application and specify which project/supervisors you are most interested in. Interviews are expected to be held in October 2010.
